Author Guidelines

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Authors interested in submitting articles to Interações (Campo Grande) should follow these guidelines:

1 Article submission languages: Articles may be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish, with preference given to English. The title, abstracts and keywords, however, must be translated into these three languages.

2 Excellence in the themes: The articles submitted must address relevant and innovative themes related to Local Development. Authors must carry out a solid literature review and present significant contributions that respond to the purpose of Interações (Campo Grande). The articles must contain a consistent theoretical foundation, adequate methodology for data collection and analysis, and in-depth analysis of the results.

3 Thematic relevance: Authors must present articles that are relevant to the specific area of Local Development addressed by the journal, and must also justify how the study contributes to the understanding or practice of Local Development.

4 Presence of at least one PhD: At least one of the authors of the submitted article must hold a Ph.D., i.e. have completed a recognized doctoral degree. This is to guarantee the academic quality and expertise of the authors in the field of study. It is important that the author with a Ph.D. is involved in the development of the work and is identified as the main author or co-author.

5 Limit of five authors per article: The journal sets a maximum limit of five authors per article. This restriction is designed to ensure clear authorship and the significant contribution of each author to the work. After three authors, it is necessary to explain the degree of contribution each author made to the article, in accordance with the CRediT Taxonomy: https://credit.niso.org/

6 Authorship and conflicts of interest: The journal requires authors to provide authorship statements and declare any relevant conflicts of interest. This includes disclosure of financial ties, institutional connections or any other relationship that could influence the impartiality of the work.

7 Format and structure of the article: Authors should follow the Interações (Campo Grande) formatting guidelines, which include: a clear and concise title, informative abstract, relevant keywords, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions and bibliographical references. It is essential to observe the specific instructions on maximum article size, citation style, margins, font and spacing, among other details.

8 Originality and academic ethics: Authors must ensure that the article is original and has not been previously published or is in the process of being evaluated in another journal. It is important to follow academic ethics guidelines, including proper citation and referencing of all sources used, as well as not practicing plagiarism or any other unethical conduct.

9 Respect for ethics and copyright: Authors must strictly adhere to ethical research standards, including obtaining informed consent from human participants, disclosing conflicts of interest and respecting the copyright of others. Plagiarism and academic misconduct are unacceptable and may lead to the article being rejected.

10 Submission process: Authors should check the specific guidelines for submitting articles to the journal. Generally, this involves sending the article via an online submission system, providing information about the authors, abstract, keywords and the article file itself in the required format.

11 Orcid registration: All authors must provide their Orcid registration numbers (https://orcid.org/). Orcid is a unique and persistent identifier that helps establish the academic identity of authors and track their contributions. It is important that authors are registered with Orcid and include their registration numbers when submitting their articles.

12 Timeliness of references: Authors must submit 70% of their references up to date, i.e. using recent publications from the last 5 years as a reference.

13 Citation style: The journal requires the ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) citation style. Authors must follow the rules for citations and bibliographical references in the style requested by the journal.

14 This journal does NOT charge submission and publication fees.

15 Texts that do not strictly adhere to the criteria established by the Interações (Campo Grande) (cf. Research Lines of the Journal) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

16 All authors of the work must register on the journal's portal and complete all required fields (first name, middle name, last name, affiliation institution, email, and biography summary).

17 The final decision regarding submitted articles rests with the responsible editor, based on the policies decided by the Editorial Commission, Editorial Board, Scientific Committee, and the journal's Editorial Team. These policies comply with current legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.

It is important to note that these guidelines may vary according to the specific policies and requirements of Interações (Campo Grande). Authors should carefully consult the information available on the journal's website or contact the editorial team for precise and updated guidance on the submission process.

Include only the reference of the work reviewed, with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 pages.

5 Stricto Sensu Experience Reports: Reports on original research from both master's and doctoral levels that are in line with the theme of Local Development.
